Sweet itch is a condition that affects many horses. It is an allergic or autoimmune response created from the saliva of a midge bite. Often seen in spring and summer but can often settle down and be clear in the winter only to be reactivated as soon as the first bite occurs again the following year.

It is a distressing and complex condition and needs ongoing treatment however it cannot be cured.

But a few products that could make to help reduce the discomfort and affects of sweet itch using natural ingredients such as aloe vera, neem, witch hazel, rosemary and apple cider vinegar.
